MWVCC

our Vision

To be the central hub for veterans and non-veterans in business. A resource for businesses that engage with and hire veterans. A support for non-profits that provide resources to veterans. A home where all can learn, grow and connect.

MWVCC

Our Mission

The Midwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Midwest region so its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All necessary means of promotion shall be provided, and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial, and educational interests of the area.

While our primary focus is helping veterans in business, it is not singular. Our goal is to help the broader community through the veterans we serve. Veterans and veterans in business support more than 20% of our economy. By empowering the veterans in our organization to do bigger, better, and greater things, the wider effect is that our community is more positively affected. Veterans have a no ONE left behind mentality. This being so, we are the first to give back to others in the veteran community, our neighborhoods, and the community at large.

MWVCC

Our Members

Members of this chamber come from a diverse background of industry, demographics, and skill sets. We come together for the purposes of better relationships, camaraderie, and unity with one another as we transition and grow.

We work with businesses of all sizes, individual employees, and nonprofit organizations. We believe that helping veterans in business helps all veterans. Giving back and supporting others is not only a core value for all of us, but it’s a mandate from all of us.

As more and more of us transition into civilian life, the need for support and camaraderie in the business world is absolutely necessary. Having a place that not only provides an environment with which you can meet and greet and be uplifted, educated, and informed is a rare pot of gold. The Midwest veterans Chamber of Commerce

Making A Difference

At MWVCC, we believe that by helping veterans do more, better, more profitable business, the effect is making a difference in our community. Our annual and monthly projects that educate, feed, and donate to other veterans are at the core of who we are. “No one left behind” is not a cliche to us. While we are not a non-profit business, we use the money we raise to help fund those that are. Our central focus is the upliftment of every veteran family that we can reach.

A Few Impact Notes...

I had recently transitioned out of the Air Force as an officer. Coming back home to a job market that I felt had left me behind was daunting. After attending meetings at MWVCC I was connected with a business coach who helped me understsnd how to better translate my skills from the military to a resume that landed me the six figure job I knew I deserved.

Every year, we can count on MWVCC to provide food at our annual Holiday gathering. They always show up at our veteran homes with dinner on Veteran and Memorial days as well. Their monthly meetings with our unhoused vets in transition are a great way to help our residents to see the possibilities and get great information.

I fought the idea of fighting for my VA disability benefits. I knew it would be a hard fight. MWVCC jumped in and gave me the tools and encouragement to win. I am now receiving 70 percent disability for ailments and pains I have lived with for more than 3 decades. I can honestly say that if I had never shown up to the Top Golf outing that day, I would not have fulfilled my duty to myself in seeking compensation. My family is grateful.
